Close-out processes should be initiated at least 90 days prior to the grant end date. Work closely with the RSC to ensure that all the required close-out activities are completed in time and that all required documentation is in place. Some awards have room for No Cost Extensions, thus such requests would be submitted to the funder within the stipulated timelines. Some final financial or project reports will need to be reviewed and submitted by the institutional leadership. All NIH Final Technical and Patents and Invention Reports are submitted by the Dean. Reports should be are on time to allow for the Dean to review the reports before submission.
